Finding a school for your child can be one of the most challenging experiences a family faces. The Lakewood Mosdos Initiative was created to assist families in the Hasidic Orthodox community who have not yet secured a place for their children in school. While we will do everything in our power to help, it’s important to understand that we are not decision-makers for any school and can only work within the resources and information available to us.
To ensure we can assist, we require every family in need to fill out the form linked below. Only parents may complete this form to prevent errors or duplicates. Once your information is submitted, our volunteers will begin working on your case.
We ask for patience and understanding as we work through this process. Most communication will be conducted via email, so please provide an accurate email address and check it regularly for updates.
Still No School for ‘26-’27? You're Not Alone.
Help for Chassidish families in Greater Lakewood when a child still doesn’t have a school.
ABOUT THE LAKEWOOD VAAD
The Lakewood Mosdos Initiative was created to make sure no child is left behind simply because there isn’t enough space in our mosdos.
As the community continues to grow at an extraordinary pace, the initiative works to ease the pressure on families and strengthen the Chinuch system by supporting practical, scalable solutions — from expanding existing classes to launching new ones, stabilizing newer mosdos, and building long-term infrastructure to meet future demand.
This effort is backed by the leading Rabbanim of Lakewood and guided by their hadracha every step of the way.
A core part of our strategy is being data-driven. By collecting and analyzing information early, we’re able to plan ahead, guide resources to where they’re most needed, and help more children — faster, and more effectively.
This work is carried out with care, discretion, and an unwavering commitment to every child’s right to a strong Chinuch.
